Bulk update people

Edit, assign, archive or delete multiple people at once

The bulk actions help you manage your team with just a few clicks. Select one or more people on the People page to display the available actions.

Select multiple team members to view the bulk actions menu for people.

Bulk-edit people

There are eight fields that can be edited in bulk.

  • Role - updates the role for selected team members. If the role has an assigned bill rate and cost rate, it will be displayed next to the role on the dropdown option. You can decide if you'd like to apply it.

  • Department - updates the department for selected team members.

  • Tags - adds and/or removes people tags for selected team members.

  • Type - updates the user type for selected team members to employee, contractor, or placeholder.

  • Bill rate - updates the bill rate for selected team members.


    📝Note: New bill rates do not override current project or phase rates.

  • Cost rate - updates the cost rate for selected team members. You can set the effective date to indicate when the new cost rate takes effect. You can set it for the past, present or future.

  • Public holidays - updates the public holidays region for selected team members.

  • Access - update the access rights for selected team members. This option will only be displayed if all the selected people already have access rights assigned.

  • Manages - updates managed departments for selected Managers. This option will only be displayed if you select multiple Managers with permission to Add and edit People, including rates if viewable, and Add and approve timer off for People they manage.

Bulk-assign to project

With Assign to project you can assign multiple team members to a project team. They will then appear on the Team tab on the project menu.

Bulk-archive people

The Archive button removes selected people from the Schedule and frees up their seats on your Float plan. All their historical data is retained. Archived people still appear on the People and Report pages when the Archived filter is applied. You can learn more about archiving team members here.

The Activate button brings the archived people to the active state.

​Bulk-delete people

To delete people in bulk, the profiles must be archived first. Deleting team members is permanent, and it removes all of their scheduled and logged time. This data cannot be restored. You can learn more about deleting team members here.
