Export your data

Download your Float data

Exporting data from Float is straightforward. You can export it directly from the Float or use the API to get the data you need.


Schedule export

To download the Schedule view:

  1. Navigate to the Schedule

  2. Click on the Share button located in the top right corner

  3. Select Export (.CSV for Excel)

You can choose one of the preset date ranges or specify a custom range. Data can be exported by day or week.

People export

To download a list of your team members:

  1. Go to the People page

  2. Click on Import > Upload a file

  3. Tick the Pre-populate with the existing team to update people box

  4. Click on Download people template.

- Name
- Email

Projects export

To download the list of your projects:

  1. Navigate to the Projects page

  2. Click on Import > Upload a file

  3. Tick the Pre-populate with existing projects box.

  4. Click on Download project template.

The downloaded data table includes the following fields:

- Budget (total hours)

- Non-billable (If Y, the project is marked as non-billable)

- All PMS have edit rights (If Y, Managers with ‘manage projects’ permission can edit this project).

Reports export

To export reports for offline work or external tracking:

  1. Go to the Report page

  2. Select People or Projects view

  3. Select the report view that fits you best (Scheduled, Logged, Logged vs Schedule, Past Logged + Future Scheduled)*

  4. Select the timeframe of your interest

  5. Click Export in the top-right corner and select if you want to export chart or table data

📝Note: *If you are on a Starter plan, you can export the Scheduled data only. Pro and Enterprise teams can also export Logged data, including time tracking details.

API export

If you require more flexibility or wish to keep your Float data in sync with another service, you can export your data using the Float API. For more information and guidelines, please refer to our API documentation.
