For a quick overview, check the Statuses video guide.
The status is a label assigned to a person on a specific date (or range of dates) on the Schedule. Setting a status helps indicate someone’s working context or location—such as Home, Travel, or Office—while giving the wider team visibility and helping prevent scheduling conflicts or productivity blockers.
Set a person's status
Setting a status works similarly to allocating time. To set a status:
Go to Schedule.
Click on a date for the relevant person.
In the allocation menu, navigate to the Status tab.
Enter the status details:
Set the duration (one or multiple days).
Optionally add a repeating cadence.
Select one of the default statuses or choose Custom and type a name directly.
Click Create status.
Status visibility
Once added, a person’s status is visible:
On the Schedule, Project plan and Project view at the bottom of each day it's scheduled for.
If the status is active today, next to the person's profile picture.
In schedule emails, below the person’s allocations and time off.
This ensures that both in-app users and email recipients have visibility into current statuses.
Managing statues
The Account Owner and Admins can manage statuses in Team settings > Statuses.
There are three suggested statuses: Home, Travel, and Office. Each can be renamed and assigned a display color.
There is also one Custom status that you can color-code. When scheduling, selecting Custom allows you to type a unique status name directly in the allocation menu.
Deleting existing statuses or adding additional ones is currently not supported.
💡 Here's a tip: If you're using the Slack notifications app, you can sync your status to your profile in Slack to give your team even greater visibility.
Additional notes
Currently, searching and filtering by a person’s status is not supported.
