With project codes, you can add unique identifiers to your projects that can be used across your organization. Project codes can be used to track job numbers, project numbers, or any other ID you use to identify your projects.
Project code settings
The Account Owner and the Admins can enable project codes for your team in Team settings > Projects > Project codes.
Adding a code to a project
Once your team has enabled project codes, you can add a project code to any project in the Info section of the project side panel. Any team member with edit rights for the project can add a project code. Emojis and special characters are supported.
It's also possible to import project codes when importing projects via CSV.
Project codes are unique - you can't use the same code for multiple projects.
Use a different code for each project, or leave the project code field blank if you don't need it.
Project codes visibility
There are a few different ways to see project codes when scheduling.
Hover over any allocation on the Schedule or Project plan, and you’ll see the project code appear in the tooltip.
The project code is also displayed in the project details on the Project plan and Project view.
Reports and exports
People report
On the People report, project codes appear in a separate column of the Projects tab.
The project code field is included in the CSV export of the People Report's time-tracking data.
Projects report
On the Projects report, project codes appear in a separate column in the table data.
When you export the table data from the project report, the project codes are included in a separate column of the export.
Additional notes
While it's possible to search by project code, it isn't currently possible to filter for a specific project code.
The project code field is not supported for project templates.
