Data studio [early access]

Keep your data accurate and up to date in one structured place

Written by Justyna Kawalec

This feature is part of an early access release and isn’t enabled by default. Access is available on request only.

Data studio is the hub for your team's roles, clients, and rate cards. It gives you one reliable place to manage the core data Float uses when you schedule work, track costs, and report on delivery.

Data studio is accessible from the left-hand sidebar. Access to it is limited to Account Owners and Admins. It contains three sections:

Roles

The Roles section in Data studio is where you manage the job functions used across your team and set up their cost rates. Keeping roles and rates accurate here ensures consistency across scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Clients

The Clients section in Data studio is where you manage all the organizations your team works with. Clients can be connected to projects, which is what allows Float to surface the right rate cards and build accurate industry exposure in team profiles.

Rate cards

Rate cards let you define the bill rates you charge, organized by role. Instead of setting rates manually for each project, you can create a rate card once and apply it as needed. Float will automatically suggest the most relevant rate card based on the project's client and currency.
