This feature is part of an early access release and isn’t enabled by default. Access is available on request only.
Project-level currencies let you set budgets and bill rates in a client’s local currency, while keeping your team’s home currency unchanged.
For example, a U.S.-based team can manage Canadian projects in CAD while using USD internally. A London-based company can keep GBP as its home currency and set individual projects for European clients in EUR.
This makes it easy to track budgets accurately and communicate clearly with clients in their local currency.
Plan availability
Access to currencies depends on your Float plan:
Teams on the Starter plan can set up the home currency only (no localized project currencies).
Teams on the Pro plan can set up up to 5 project currencies.
Teams on the Enterprise plan can have unlimited project currencies.
Access
Access to currency management is limited to the Account Owner and Admins only.
Currencies management
Account Owner and Admins can manage currencies in Company settings > Admin > Currencies.
Home currency
Your team’s home currency is defined in Company settings > Admin > Currencies > Home currency. This is the default base currency for all projects.
📝Note: To update your home currency, you'd need to remove all the project currencies first.
Project currencies
If your team is on a Pro or Enterprise plan, in Company settings > Admin > Currencies > Project currencies, you can add additional currencies and manually set their exchange rate.
To add a project currency:
1. Go to Company settings > Admin > Currencies > Project currencies.
2. Click Add.
3. Select the currency from the list.
4. Set the exchange rate.
5. Click Save to confirm.
📝Note: If you're on the Pro plan and have reached the five-currency limit, delete an existing currency or upgrade to Enterprise to add more.

Applying project-level currencies
Assigning currency to a project
Project-level currencies can only be applied to Time & materials and Fixed fee budget types. In the Budget section of the project's settings, you can choose one of the currencies your team has set up. The selected currency is used for all budget, bill rates, and margin calculations within that project.
Exchange rate
Once you select the project's currency from the drop-down, the Exchange rate field will appear. The corresponding currency exchange rate defined in Company settings > Admin > Currencies > Project currencies will automatically populate and remain fixed for the entire duration of the project.
Learn more about the exchange rates here.
Using currency-based Rate cards
The fastest way to apply currency-specific bill rates to a project is to use a Rate card. Rate cards let you save a defined set of bill rates by role and apply them to your projects. If your team is on a Pro or Enterprise plan, you can set the rate card's currency and the client or clients the card applies to. Next, you can apply a rate card to any project with a Time & materials or Fixed fee budget type. If you've already set the project's currency, the rate card dropdown will only show rate cards with that currency assigned. When you apply a rate card, both the budget and the bill rates are set in the target currency.

Adjusting budgets and bill rates to project currency manually
For projects where the rate card is not applied, setting a project currency does not automatically convert the budget amount or bill rates. For Set manually or Same for everyone rates, you must manually update the budget and bill rates based on the project's currency exchange rate.
Example:
Your home currency is USD.
You add a new project and set EUR as a currency.
The budget field is now displayed in EUR.
Your team's default bill rates are set in the home currency, so when you add them to the project, you need to manually recalculate bill rates from USD to EUR using the project's exchange rate.
Updating project currency manually
Only Account Owners and Admins can change the currency or exchange rate for an existing project. Project Managers can select the project's currency from the predefined list, but they cannot modify the exchange rate.
Changing a project's currency does not automatically update the budget or team members' bill rates and requires double confirmation.
After you update the project currency, you must:
Review the new currency's exchange rate.
Manually update the budget based on the project's exchange rate.
Manually adjust the team’s bill rates to reflect the new currency values based on the project's exchange rate.
Viewing financial data in home/project currency
In the Project view, you can use View in home/project currency from the action menu to toggle between home and project currencies.
Currencies on reports and dashboards
On the Projects report and the Project finance dashboard, the summary data is displayed in the home currency.
The table data on the Projects report shows each project's financial data in its own currency. To get into the details of a specific project, use the Single Project Report.
Additional notes
Exchange rates are fixed for the duration of a project. Applying dynamic or monthly-changing exchange rates is not supported.
