How to pause your account temporarily or delete your team permanently

There may be instances where you want to take a break from using Float or wish to cancel your account altogether.

To make any changes to your subscription, you'll first need to access the Team settings. The account owner can find both the pause and cancel options in the General tab.

Pause your account

Pausing your Float account allows you to suspend billing for up to twelve months without losing any data. Your team will not have access to the account while it's paused, but all data will remain intact and accessible once you reactivate. The account owner can cancel the account by following the steps listed below:

  1. Click the gear icon located at the bottom-left of the page.

  2. Navigate to Team Settings.

  3. Select General from the menu on the left.

  4. Click the blue button that says Pause your subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.

Pausing takes effect immediately, but you can reactivate and gain access until the end of your current billing cycle.

📝 Note: Pausing an annual subscription does not halt your billing cycle. For example, if you have 6 months left and pause for 6 months, you will need to repurchase when you return.

Cancel your account and delete your team

We are sad to see you go, but if you're sure you'd like to cancel, please ensure you export any necessary data before proceeding. Next, the account owner can cancel the account by following the steps listed below:

  1. Click the gear icon located at the bottom-left of the page.

  2. Navigate to Team Settings.

  3. Select General from the menu on the left.

  4. Click the red button that says Delete team and follow the prompts to confirm.

Upon cancellation, billing will stop and your team will lose access to Float immediately.
