Tags help you organize, identify, and filter information across Float. You can use tags to track people's skills and attributes, as well as important project details. Tags make it easier to find the right people or projects quickly using filters on any page.
Tags management
The Account Owner and Admins can manage tags in Team settings > Tags > People/Projects. From this page, you can:
Review all existing tags
Add new tags
Edit tag names
Delete tags
Assign or update tag colors
See how many people/projects use each tag and who created it
To modify the existing tag, hover over it to reveal the edit and delete icons.
📝Note: Deleting a tag from the tags page will unassign it from all people/projects currently using it and remove it from filter drop-downs.
People tags
People tags are used to describe individual team members. They help you identify a person's skills, roles, locations, and other attributes.
You can assign people tags in two ways:
Individually, from each person’s profile
In bulk, from the People page
Once assigned, people tags can be used as filters on any Float page to narrow results to exactly the team members you need.
Projects tags
Project tags help track and organize project-level information, such as project type, location, or client category.
You can assign project tags in two ways:
Individually, from the project’s side panel
In bulk, from the Projects page
After tags are applied, you can filter any page in Float by project tags to quickly locate relevant work and focus on the projects that matter most.
