When your plans change, you can shift entire projects, individual phases, or multiple allocations in bulk.

Shift a project timeline

To move all of a project’s assigned work at once, use the Shift timeline option in the project's action menu. You can access it:

Shift a project timeline from project side panel
Shift a project timeline from Project plan
Shift a project timeline from Project view

You will be given the option to enter a new start and end date. Once the project dates are shifted, all of its allocations, milestones, and phases will move accordingly.

📝Note: The Shift timeline option is only available for projects with assigned allocations. The allocation limit for shifting a project timeline is currently 250 items.

Move project phases

To move a specific project phase along with its assigned work, grab the phase bar in the Project plan or Project view and drag it to a new date. All allocations and milestones within that phase will shift accordingly.

Multi-select and move allocations in bulk

To move multiple allocations, whether from the same project or different ones, hold down the Shift key and select the allocations you want to relocate. You can click them individually or drag across the Schedule, Project plan, or Project view to highlight several at once. Allocations you don’t have permission to edit will be greyed out and won’t be selectable.

📝Note: You can currently select and move up to 50 allocations at a time.

Selected allocations will be highlighted, and you can drag them to a new date. Allocations remain locked on the same person, so nothing gets reassigned during the move.

📝Note: Only active, non-repeating allocations can be moved using this method. Time off records and calendar-synced events cannot be shifted.
